I don’t think it is ever easy to say goodbye. It does not matter whether you look forward to leaving a place or not, it is always not easy to uproot one’s root’s and move off without a twinge in one’s heart. (at least for me)
Today has been full of goodbyes. Leaving my place of employment for the last 9 months and today is my last official day at work. Handing over has been easy, thanks to working steadily and consistently. I’ve had to sign papers, return office equipment in my possession and go round saying good bye to everyone. I have been more of a geek here so I sent off fore-runner, Email before I went round myself.
Even though I look forward to leaving, I found myself asking ‘Or should I stay?” too late anyway! I collected gsm numbers and email addresses and said Thank Yous even when I did not have a reason too. Well, I guess I did to everyone- for being nice, for answering my questions, for helping…. several!
well well just rambling on and on. decided to write this so I wont ever forget…

Oluseyi Sonaiya here. read about your blog on the computer2002greatife list, so I decided to drop by and leave you a warm message. (I’m kinda catching up with everyone again.) I wonder if you’ll add some comments about IT in Nigeria, and being a software developer in particular; I’d really like to read about those.
