I have not been able to pour down my thots for a while. A long while. Not that I have not had anything to write but it all seemed so trite after the tragedies of the Sosoliso crash.
We all know what happened and why it happened. Not an act of God, but our collective negligence. Yes, I have no links to the aviation industry so What am I talking about? I believe the poem below captures my point succintly: We refuse to speak up when we know things are not going the right way, sadly tragedies are the only things that wake us up in this country.
First They Came for the Jews
First they came for the Jewsand I did not speak out
First they came for the Jewsand I did not speak out
because I was not a Jew.Then they came for the Communists and I did not speak out because I was not a Communist. Then they came for the trade unionists and I did not speak outbecause I was not a trade unionist. Then they came for me and there was no one left to speak out for me.

A tribute to all the kids and souls lost in the avoidable plane crashes in 2005. May God grant your parents and relatives the fortitude to bear this irreplaceable loss. May Nigeria be a better place!
