The streets are clean because they are swept and washed.
The gutters are tidy and flow because they’ve been built well and dustbins abound to hold litter…
…and because children were taught to hold on to litter until they get to a bin.
Traffic moves AND there is no traffic at all (well, I dream of a Lagos!) OR Traffic wardens are replaced by programmable traffic lights which are OBEYED.
Streetlights work and I do not have to rely on my headlamps at night. (emm, 3rd mainland, point-in-case!)
There are no streetchildren trying to beg a living by washing dirty windscreens or singing songs!
I could walk safely down the streets at night just thrilled to be out alone and enjoying the cool air on my face! (Did that in Great Ife a lot until one encounter with a drunkard stopped me!)
Our government has been busy working HARD! cos it would show!
Have I been Dreaming? or Thinking or Simply Wishing? Whatever! I pray it comes true!!!!!!!!
PS: With these few sentences of mine, I hope I’ve been able to convince you and not confuse you….!lol! just to say that in these few sentences are enough projects to keep any government person busy. They might seem trivial or seen as a waste (why would anyone wash streets especially when there is no water) but these would be the result of initiatives by the government that has worked really hard and has solved fundamental problems first cos it is when people are FED WELL and are WELL FED that they will appreciate a lot of what might be considered window-washing. I’ve said enough…
